'Round here we're not much for the mowing.
Ma Nature does all the best sowing.
This year has been good -
We found a dogwood
And an apple tree with blossoms growing

The violets of course are my fave.
They bloom 'cross the yard in a wave.
The crocus are gone now
But I know that somehow
They'll be back this fall 'cause they're brave

Amongst all the purple and trees
Somehow there does manage to squeeze
A splash here and there
Of a yellow so fair...
Dandylions a'tryin' to please...

LATER...

...The dogwood turned out just to be
Honeysuckle, so now it's debris.
And while he was whacking
And slashing and hacking,
Bruce cut down the poor apple tree.
